Abstract

The author uses documents preserved in the archives of Ismail (Ukraine) in order to analyze the development of the educational institutions in the Southern Bessarabia area, from 1918 through 1940. The paper highlights the dynamics of the educational institutions in the area, the enrolment evolution, and the diversification of the educational offer.
