Abstract

The plant specialised in recycling used mineral oils from Râmnicu Sărat, Venus-OILREG, was the only enterprise of this kind in communist Romania. The paper outlines the factory organisation, its output of manufactured goods, statistics concerning production, as well as the means of integrating this enterprise in the communist production system. The research relies on unedited archival documents and oral histories.
