Abstract

This paper is a study of the hydrodynamic lubrication between the cylinder liner and the piston ring of a linear hydraulic engine. The influence of
geometric, material and working conditions as well as the temperature and shear-rate dependence of lubricant viscosity on the oil film minimum
thickness and power loss is presented in the paper. These results can be used in the linear hydraulic engines design.
