Problematica memorialisticii în romanul Gabrielei Adameșteanu, Anii romantici

Abstract

This article proposes an analysis of the memoirism literature existing in The Romantic Years' work, a book of memories and thoughts, dealing with aspects related to the Romanian political space of changes brought with the change of mentality in recent years. At the same time, it also captures details related to the Romanian exile, about life in the literary environment, and about censored litterature, dissident, and resistance through culture. Considering the memoirism character of the novel, one can easily observe details about the personal and professional journey of the author, as well as about the way she tried to identify herself among the Adameșteanu's family. In an ironic-nostalgic book, in which lucidity and honesty intertwine, the narrator's presence reveals a particular way of looking at the world and identifying with it, even when she expresses herself in another position public intellectual. All of this, contributes to the originality of the type of discourse adopted by the author, inspired by the american theoretician, Michael Bamberg.
