Determining the Optimal Period for Renewal within Evolutionary Strategies

Abstract

This paper deals with the determination of the optimal period for renewal of the equipment described by a reliability model with constant parameters. For this purpose use is made of an evolutionary strategy based on a Markov reliability model. Markov model parameters are adjusted using an ADALINE-type neural network, a trained network using a sliding window.
