Abstract

During WWI, the town of Galați was heavily bombed by the German aviation and artillery, camped in the village of Bugeac, in Dobrudja. The bombings took place between December 12th 1916 and September 29th 1917. The article presents several testimonies of the local people and of some refugees, evincing the damages incurred by the bombings to the town of Galați.
