Foametea în județul Vaslui în anii 1946-1947

Abstract

In this paper, the author analyses the impact of the 1946-1947 famine on the population in the Moldavian region, and especially in the County of Vaslui. The paper highlights the solutions identified to this problem, and also the way in which the Communist Party attempted to use this situation for electoral purposes. The absence of food, combined with communist propaganda, stirred an unfavorable state of mind in the population, which is apparent from the documents of the time.
