Abstract

In the process of environmental protection, with all its technical, social and perspective components, almost all of the planet's population has a larger or smaller role in individual and group behaviour, with environmental consequences.

A concrete case is that of the Waste Landfill in Galati, where an integrated environmental protection system has been implemented but which, in relation to our socio-human conditions, requires some technical and social improvements that can be adapted to the reality and the needs of the city.

Since the possibilities of implementing some techniques for prevention and elimination of the environmental impact are numerous and complex, we will only refer to the study of a system for reducing the amounts of leachate that accumulate excessively on the body of the deposit, and that could be processed during the cold period with minimal investments.
