Abstract

Sustainable development is the dominant economic, environmental, and social issue of the 21st century. This concept represents the sustainable development as an evolutionary process, demanding the integration of the physical sciences and engineering with the biological and social sciences for design of systems. This paper focuses on corporate sustainability presenting the risks and opportunities facing large corporations, and as a case study we chose the (automotive) company with CODE CAEN 2931 Manufacture of electrical and electronic equipment for motor vehicles and motor vehicles / section C with location in Romania , the city of Braila that operates in a world of limited resources. Are illustrated the principles of corporate sustainability while highlighting the practical challenges faced by employees in large corporate entities today also environmental and social impacts of corporate activity, environmental and social risk management, business opportunities created by resource limitations, environmental finance and impact investing.
