Abstract

Abuse of power is one of the most serious violations of the principles of the rule of law, directly affecting public confidence in state institutions and the fairness of law enforcement. In the Republic of Moldova, abuse of power is regulated both in contravention and criminal law, which raises questions about the delimitation and correlation between these two forms of sanctions. This article aims to analyze the correlation between contraventional abuse of power and criminal abuse of power, taking into account the provisions of the legislation of the Republic of Moldova
