Vocaţia socială a Bisericii – aspecte legate de familie

Abstract

Year 2011 is the anniversary year of Holy Baptism and Holy Wedding in the Romanian Patriarchate. In this sense, a great importance is given to the christian family and its role in our society; however, one has to admit that peace and harmony is not found in all of the families, some of them even going through periods of true crisis; this provokes the Chuch to act socially, with the help of social workers, in order to achieve equilibrium, calmness and kindness in these families. In our Church, social work develops on several levels, but we wish to analyze here the practical work carried out by our social workers in the homes and families of the believers, considering that this form of action can solve part of the problems that families encounter nowadays.
