De la tradițional la modern – evoluție. Literatura digitală – fenomen cultural al secolului XXI

Abstract

The paper proposes the analysis of the new literary phenomenon - digital literature - after an incursion in bookhistory, following its evolution through time, from its appearance to the digital version, the e-book of today. Advantages and disadvantages can be identified both in the case of the traditional book, in paper form, and in the case of the digital book, in electronic form. The reading phenomenon in the age of digital transformations is natural. The evolution of digital literature is, however, surprising. The new writing direction includes different literary forms influenced by digital technology and culture. Contemporary literary styles include blogospheric poetic forms and digital textualization, cyberliterature produced on the web or on different applications, computer-generated literature, digital book literature, animated digital poetry or hypertextual literature. The change in the perception regarding the status of literature in the digital age is obvious. So is the opposition towards canonical literature.
