Abstract
The text is built in the context of explanations and views on professional identity, on the crisis and changes that occur in this identity, on the process of building the professional identity of teachers, given that they all converge in state policies on adult education. That is why the approach to change in the field involves, in its own right, the ability to perceive and understand the emotional impact of change on ourselves and others, in which the relationship between cognition and affectivity remains valid.
