Abstract

Today's Romanian press is a relatively young press. The appearance and evolution of newspapers / magazines, their specialization, depended on the steadfastness of social life, the wealth of the population and the individual freedoms of the people. These premises were not fulfilled in the nineteenth century, because of which the literary press suffered. This paper presents two prestigious literary magazines from the 19th century, without making a value judgment. There is a description of the contents of the publications, their biographical side, the composition of the collaborators, the influences received and those exercised, the editorial changes.
