Teme, simboluri și metafore obsedanteîn scriitura istratiană
Abstract
This paper presents the research on the main thematic layers in Istrati’s work, we will direct it towards the evocation of certain biographical routes, then we will analyse the recurring themes, symbols and obsessive metaphors. The reference point in selecting the corpus of texts written by Panait Istrati will be the classification proposed by acad. Eugen Simion, in 2019, which clustered Istrati’s narrative in: 1) The Danube-Balkan cycle; 2) The outlaw prose cycle; 3) The Picaresque prose cycle; 4) The confessional prose. Our study will emphasize the recurrence of themes such as Amity and the Mirage of Voyage, then it will investigate Istrati’s archetypal background with examples of obsessive metaphors and symbol characters. From the plural identity of Istrati’s characters, we will attempt to rebuild, such as a puzzle, Panait Istrati’s representative identity profile.
