Le travail de l’espace ou penser le monde autrement dans Bref séjour chez les vivants de Marie Darrieussecq
Abstract
The interest of this paper lies in the way the group of space novels works on the issues in Bref séjour
chez les vivants by Marie Darrieussecq. The realistic-looking spatial structure of this novel gathers around a
nonexistent center restricting the characters to a dreamlike world. Beneath this interworld situation, that is, the
swift between physical and mental spaces, it implicitly appears a virtual or liquid space that portrays the deep
dream of characters. That dream consists to live together and to reach a global vision of the planet.
