Ironie et mise en suspens de l’identité chez Eugène Ionesco
Résumé
The generation of the “theatre of the absurd”, and especially Eugene Ionesco, used irony as an
aesthetical instrument to mark the disjunction, the disparty, the difference between a human being and his
discourse, between a person and the world. Ionesco chose the theatrical space because of its openeness and of
the possibility to suspend monolithic identity in order to allow the dynamic logic of the contradictories express
the complexity of a human soul and mind.
