Abstract

Because of the naval incidents in recent years resulting in loss of human lives and materials, an outstanding importance is now given to the studyof phenomenas which  occur in ship structures upon impact with other structures or in the case of military applications with projectiles. The objective of the present work is to study the impact loading of a projectile on steel plane plates using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software ABAQUS.
