Abstract

This study offers a general perspective regarding the relations between the Romanian state and the Orthodox Cult of the Old Believers(Lipovans) in the modern period and offers a series of unique documentary contributions from the Archives of the National Council for the Study of the Securitate Archives with regards to the situation of the Lipovans in the first decade of the communist regime.
