VALORI INTERPRETATIVE ALE LEXICULUI GASTRONOMIC DIN SCRIERILE LUI PĂSTOREL TEODOREANU
Abstract
Pastorel Teodoreanu is a refined and unparalled connoisseur of the history of both Romanian and universal cuisine and of their unknown local peculiarities. In his work, literature and gastronomy are harmoniously intertwined, so that common recipes become true poems in prose, seasoned here and there with savory and effervescent quatrains. Also, his stories represent the place for unprecedented gastronomic and enological adventures. In the writer’s view, cuisine is both science and art, and it must be treated as such. Walking lightly on his traces, we discover new gastronomic sensations and we happily taste the unknown faces of the world we live in.
