ANTONOMAZA – SURSĂ A CREATIVITĂŢII LEXICALE ÎN LIMBAJUL PUBLICISTIC ACTUAL
Abstract
The dynamics of the language, materialized in vitality and creativity, is demonstrated by
the avalanche of new and very new words that have penetrated the Romanian vocabulary especially via two main ways: loan words and internal creations.
Antonomasia or the passage from a proper name to a common name highlights a relatively recent tendency, specific of the post-Revolutionary journalistic language, namely the period after December 1989. By the unexpected character of these formations and by their semantic and stylistic effects, the language creators are trying to arouse the readers’ interest, while providing, at the same time, innovative linguistic models.
