Ov. S. Crohmălniceanu –„localism creator” și „memorie culturală”

Abstract

Literature is reflected in memory, this being a psychological process of the human being linked in a unique and complex way to literature. Each epoch has chosen its textual metaphor, a metaphor of transformations, of the configuration of an epoch (political, social, cultural, economic, etc.). The representations of the past are homogenized with the passage of time, the memories are spread over the person, thus the memory becoming a social mechanism, dependent on the individual and on the communication between him and other members of the society. Outstanding personality of the Galați culture, Ov. S. Crohmălniceanu marks through his contributions, literary criticism and history, journalism and even the literary destiny of an entire generation of young people who, at the beginning of the '80s, knocked at the gates of affirmation. He thus contributes to the shaping of social and cultural memory, his works being a living document of history, of the era of which he was a part.
