Considerations on design controls intended to achieve thin walled bodies

Résumé

This paper aims at presenting a comparative study of the "Shell" command / control which generates bodies with thin walls or some equivalent commands to be found in the following design software packages: Mechanical Desktop 6 or NX and Solid Edge 7.5 v.20. In other words all these variants of the basic command are comparatively approached, as they are likely to produce cavities and their features are particularly highlighted.
