DIALECTOLOGY AND PRAGMALINGUISTICS

Abstract

The present paper is a completed version of a study published in 2014 in a homage volume dedicated to the linguist Ion Coteanu. The general database used for the analyses is represented by a collection of oral texts in the dialectal register within the national projects The New Romanian Linguistic Atlas, by Regions and the Phonogramic Archive of the Romanian language. The oral text usage result analysis
regarding the knowledge of the patois syntax (Magdalena Vulpe, 1980; Sabina Teiuş, 1980), carried out mainly in the aforementioned study, continues in this paper by assessing the same source from the perspective of the ethnolinguistic component, useful for editing articles in the updated and unified edition in progress of the Dictionary of the Romanian Language of the Academy. The study also includes an appendix containing a series of symbols - encoded signs (Table 1) and verbal indices
(Table 2).
