DIFFICULTIES IN (RE)KNOWING, UNDERSTANDING AND EXECUTION OF THE AGREEMENT.
THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL PROBLEMS
Abstract
This study is devoted to agreement, a construction admirable for its breadth, proportions and balance. Firstly, I tried to define the term, which is considered to be a mode of expression of the subordination link, a morphosyntactic phenomenon and a sign of the enunciation process. Agreement imposes formal
variations in number, gender, person and case. But for languages with extended inflection, agreement is a principle of structural organisation. Its purpose is to transmit dual information, syntactic and semantic, and to ensure the unity of linguistic production. Furthermore I established the following typology: referential agreement (in relation to extralinguistic reality) and grammatical agreement (mophosyntactic); internal agreement and external agreement; classes of agreed words and their specific morphemes. A detailed analysis was devoted to the syntactic relations of bilateral dependency (subject - predicate) and unilateral dependency (within the nominal group, GN). In order to give a clearer picture and express the specific nature of agreement, I used a special terminology: accordance - availability/capacity to agree; Accordant - the term that imposes agreement (the Centre of the group); accord - the term that agrees (subordinate); accord - establishing and maintaining contact/agreement, expressing concordant grammatical categories, imposing specific forms (morphemes). The systematics of agreement phenomena has been arranged on three levels of analysis: general, morphosyntactic and psychological. The rules of agreement, disagreement and oscillations in agreement were illustrated by examples taken from everyday language, the mass media and a valuable scientific bibliography.
