Abstract

Constantin Brâncoveanu was undoubtedly a man of the era, became the ruler in a period marked by the humanism of the 17th century and early Enlightenment to beginning of the century XVIII. Having four sons himself, was concerned and was involved in the development of the system of education in Wallachia, which wished to European level, after the model of University centers as Padua, Bologna, Paris, Leipzig and Constantinople, Kiev and Moscow.
