Abstract

Volodymyr Zelensky’s public discourses after the Russian invasion of
Ukraine in February 2022 are considered to be masterpieces in the art of persuasion.
This paper aims to analyze both in form and content Ukraine’s presidential speeches
in front of world countries’ Parliaments and establish the ways Volodymyr Zelensky
manages to convince world leaders and decision makers to support his country.
While speeches in front of Parliaments across the world are only referenced, this
paper analyses particularly the speech delivered online by the president of Ukraine
in front of the Romanian Parliament on April 4th, 2022.
